I see theres a copy of Brew Classic European Beers at Home by Wheeler on ebay, I would grab that to start with. Theres enough instructions to start all grain brewing and some good recipes too.

For equipment, I started off with a H&G 10 gallon brewery: http://www.hopandgrape.co.uk/catalog/de ... HA20225648

Should have everything you need apart from a chiller, I would pick up an immersion chiller on top of that.

I would suggest jumping straight into All Grain brewing. Read Daab's Guide and take Daab's recommendations above and you could be brewing next weekend. Hop and grape's 10 gallon brewery is a good start.

I would endorse all the above and add that studying this forum is a good idea too. Mind you, I would recommend skimming over stuff that seems a bit unknown at this stage. Just take the stuff that is relevant.

My first book was "Brew Beers Like Those You Buy" Dave Line, God bless him!!!
My two bucket mash tun and the Richie products boiler serves me well.
Best place to check out brewing books is at a library!!!
