I'm new to all this so beer with me...
I wanted to pressure test my keg / barrel tonight, ( youngs 5 gallon with a Co2 cap) so filled it 3/4 full of cold water, fitted the CO2 bulb in to the holder and started to screw down on to the cap.... In the instructions I should have heard a hiss.. here's the problem... no hiss, when I unscrewed the holder there was quite a pop with all the Co2 blasting out the bulb...
anyone got any ideas what this could be, seems as if no Co2 went into the barrel...

What type of barrel and valve is it?I would first of all check that the valve has been drilled through properly. Its clear that the bulb had been pierced but the co2 hadnt gone into the keg,the other thing to check is the rubber band covering the hole on the inlet isnt stuck tight!

DaaB you always say it so much betterDaaB wrote:Welcome to the forum,
Try removing the small black rubber band on the little spiggot on the s30 valve which acts as a one way inlet valve, then blow through the hole at the other end where the threads are. If you can blow through it then you may have had a sticky inlet valve, push the rubber back on and see if it works then.
If you can't blow through the valve it's faulty i'm afraid.
