Too late to add hops?

Post by JayBee » Tue Jul 22, 2008 8:33 pm

I started a Coopers IPA on Sunday and although I bought a pack of the finishing hop pellets didnt put them in the brew. Would it be okay to add them to the fermenter now and if I do should I steep them in hot water first and add the steeped water and sachet or would it be better to just throw the infusion bag in on its own?
Its a sachet of Morgans finishing hop pellets ( Goldings ) and I was hoping to add a little aroma more than do anything drastic to the taste. I really like this IPA but was wanting to give a bit more "nose" if you know what I mean.

You could boil up some water and add the bag for extra bitterness and some aroma or drop the bag into the FV for extra aroma/taste.

The choice is yours
