My Great Eastern Ale may not be great

Guys,

Anyone brewed this before from Woodeforde's? When I bottled it I did notice it had a faintly unpleasant smell... not rancid, but not really that pleasant.

I tried some and it tasted very unlike it smelt. It tasted OK, nothing nasty hit my tastebuds... it's just the niff was a little on the nasty side.

Oh dear. I may have picked up an infection. Does infected beer usually reek like heck or just niff a bit?

Definitely didn't taste of sarson's, but I'll need a second opinion from the trouble-and-strife as my tastebuds have been vindaloo'd over the years.
