I'm currently drinking an IPA from a king keg and have plenty of pressure at the moment. However, I was wondering whether I need to be re-pressurizing with CO2 every time i draw off a pint or whether I can do that when the pressure runs out?
Also, I've just bottled another batch and don't really have anywhere that cool to store the beer. Will the bottles be ok left somewhere warm for storage - will this just mean that the beer remains quite flat?

Bottle and Keg Questions
I happen to have a milestone IPA that is in the lower 1/4 of the barrel now .... it's the tasting you see its only been in the barrel for 10 days or so but it was just to good.
But I have not had to put any more gas in at all its still quite lively when pouring even now , I put 120 gram or brewers sugar with 200ml boiled water cooled and keged with some beerbrite thats all for this one.
As for bottles I have not bottled yet so im of no info on that bit sorry.

Im going to do all of the milestone kits seeing as the IPA is so good and came out so clear I actually lasted 5 days until I started drinking it but im new to the brewing game and i can only go on my current experiances. which are as follows
Best of british yorkshire Bitter 4 weeks later was still cloudy and is now in 3 PET 2ltr bottles yup still drank a load of it.
Milestone IPA cleared really fast and tastes great.
Brupack Best of british 3 days so far still cloudy but seems to be clearing.
Fermenting a chritmas porter at the moment so no real idea on that . Started at 1075 on the hydro though im hoping for 1010 finish though.
But as I said due to the great way it brewed came out clear and tasted I am going to do all the milestone kits see if they are all as good.

Re: Bottle and Keg Questions
The key really is to pressurise when you almost get to the point that the beer stops flowing. Once the flow slows down to a rate where you can see that the pressure has dropped low then it's time to inject some CO2. The last thing you want is air glugging back in through the tap and a little CO2 pressure is always preferable since letting it drop too low could mean you lose your carbonation.Shoit wrote:I'm currently drinking an IPA from a king keg and have plenty of pressure at the moment. As for the bottles, you will lose some carbonation by not allowing them to finish off in a fridge after a few days at room temperature but I suspect it will still be quite satisfactory.
