Kit, nothing else ?

Post by JayBee » Sat Aug 30, 2008 8:40 pm

A few weeks ago I ordered two Coopers IPA kits by mistake ( I know, it was late one weekend and I had been sampling ). I love this kit but have just finished one and am almost ready to start drinking the other.
I`ve offered it to a couple of blokes at work who seemed interested but changed their minds. As I don`t like to waste it and seeing as I`ve got a half sized FV looking lonely I was wondering what would happen if I just emptied the can in there, topped up to say 12 litres and pitched some yeast. Would it make an acceptable drink without any additions at all or would I be wasting a good kit?

Possibly.....i tried similar by using two Geordie kits to make 23 l......balance might be all wrong so result could be very hoppy.......won't be as thin as if made to full length with sugar.....other answer if you were going to give it away is try it and see.
