Thanks Jim and Andy,

yes, unfortunately the Allendale Black Grouse was a lot of other peoples favourite also :D , it was also badly positioned, ie right in line of sight as you came in down the stairs..... :D

The band were Beggar's Belief and yes, I too thought they were damn good. Good choice of tunes and well played. A few of the old codgers complained it was too loud, but after turning it down twice the lead guitar explained that it wouldn't work any lower.

don't know whether I want to be in the driving seat again but....till next year.......
