Cinnamon In The Mash

Hello all was reading about adding cinnamon powder to your mash as it's a powerfull antioxidant.This might be useful for people who put campden tablets in there mash 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon per 5 gallons

Never thought of that one, sounds interesting although, what percentage of the cinnamon flavour gets into the finnished product. I doubt a cinnamon flavoured lager would go down well....then again :wink:

Acording to Mr Papazian no cinnamon flavour makes it through to the finnished beer

And according to Mr Papazian, you can strain the hops out of hot wort, by pouring it through a sieve.

I tend to do this, don't get any problems with it, after it's been cooled mind!
