Which lager

Post by JabbA » Tue Sep 09, 2008 1:42 pm

With the summer ebbing away, (what we’ve had of one!) and it getting cooler, I think I might try a proper lager and leaving it the garage. Any recommendations?

I’m not a big fan of wheat beers (although SWMBO is!) but I did rather like the ‘dark’ beer we had when we we're in Prague, any kits like that around?

Cheers,
Jamie

Try a Bock. Muntons do one, as do Black Rock, a New Zealand Based Company.

I don't get on with the munton's bock, myself.
I think it was too bitter.

Ooo, both those look good (the Munich Dark and the Black Rock), might have to have them going side-by-side!

Should have said, when I say New Zealand based, they are, but their kits are available over here. This link's for them:
http://blackrock.co.nz/product+information.htm
and Brewmart in Sheffield do their stuff

Never used Brewmart before, they look cheap though.
Bock is one of the many beers I intend to make soon. Sounds nice, a dark lager. . .
Oohhh I'm clamming for a beer.
