Built my boiler yesterday and a hot liquor tun.

Mash tun built just needs a clean.

Almost ready to start brewing. Now all I need is a chiller and a recipe, don't know what should be my first there are so many.

Can I ask how much you ended up spending making these?

nice work Chris, you're ready to rock

what about a cover over the element connections? There was a good one posted on here, used end stops from a waste pipe.

A very good idea. Something I will need to do.

The 10 gallon bin cost £25 with P&P, bought 3 tesco kettles for the lements at £4.90 each.

Two boiler taps £8.99 each.

Already had the coolbox and two fermentation 5 gal bins.

Copper pipe £9 for 2m and fixing probably an extra £5.

So I would say only about £60.

Seems I have 2 1/2 pints of liquid left in the mash tun after run off. This seems a lot???

Hi Chris,
Are the kettles the Jug type? I was going to buy one the other day but was not sure about element being removable. :?
