No-prime Milestone?

Post by PMH0810 » Wed Sep 24, 2008 8:07 am

I've a Milestone IPA in my FV (corrently at 1.011 after two days) but have misplaced the destructions.

I contacted Milestone to ask about priming this brew on transfer to the keg and received a short reply that "this product does not need priming".

Advice please? This does not sound right to me...

Sounds funny to me, I would prime as normal.

Did you contact the details on the box (now Munton's), or the actual Milestone Brewery themselves?

Is it particularly high gravity, and are you using their yeast?
If the answer to either of the above is no, prime as normal. :D

Thank you both!

I contacted Milestone via their website; OG was 1.045 and the yeast was supplied with the kit so I'll prime as before, 80-100gms of sugar.

I did this kit last year and the instructions said to prime as usual.

Fermented out?

Rousing hasn't helped my FG of 1.011 and I am not using that yeast nutrient on another ale.

Kit-sheet suggested 1.009 as an FG; I think I know the answer to the question below as I am already sanitising my KKTT.

Keg now (7 days - FG hasn't moved in 3) - or continue to sit and hope?
