Wort Caramelization

I am going to have a go at boiling the shit out of the first runnings of my Timothy Taylor Landlord clone. I'd like your opinions to my technique. Firstly, I'll be using 100% floor malted Golden Promise. No crystal, no dark malts added during the sparge. I will mash in with 10.64 liters of 73C. water. I will, after an hour, recirculate and begin draining the first runnings.
I will take 3.7854118L. of the first runnings and boil to oblivion. I am looking for a 50% reduction. To make up for any increase in gravity, I'll either add some sparge water or water directly to the boil. That should work. Stay tuned for the video.

Sounds good too me, although I'v not tried this yet. Going to give it a shot on Friday whn I make my Caledonia 80 brew. Take around 4L of wort and boil it down to 2L.
