recomendations on finning lager

Post by Shn00dleS » Wed Nov 05, 2008 3:20 am

i brewing coopers lager right now and have not really had great luck on previous brews,

i have 2 questions.

firstly, to fine my lager i intend to wait till fermentation has finished, throw in some youngs beer finnings, wait 2 days then syphon off into second bucket, add isinglass and move to cold area for 5 days, then syphon back into clean first bucket containing priming solution, then syphon into bottles. good plan? instead of the first (youngs finnings) is it good to use auxilliary finnings instead or not? :? :? :? :?

also.
i had some probs with a werrey that never cleared. It was bottled and primmed over 3 months ago. could this be a protien haze? if so i hear that auxilliary finnings are good for this, is there anything i can do? :? :? :? :?

wait longer, or bottle your beer.
For some reason bottled beer drops bright faster than kegged beer. It has something to do with glass I'm told?
IMO Fining homebrew is gilding the lilly.
