Ant me old mate, I've left cans of this shite, and Sprite, Coke etc under the bed for months and it would never even grow mould so I doubt it would ferment. Theres too many preservatives in it and so it was still drinkabubble (if a little warm!) Youre expecting yeast to work its magic on it? I truly wish you luck, you insane fekker!
Addled, wouldn't boiling the Irn Bru remove the preservatives?? I know that i've been told that with reference to using Ribena for wine making....guess the principle would be the same???

Nice bit of ingenuity MA!!!!

Respect!
I dunno Dave, but I cant wait for MA to tell me.
Hey Ant is it fermenting away nicely? Have you tried it yet? Are you gonna condition it? Does it make your wee orange? Are you still alive?

I havent tried it yet. Nearly did last night but as i made it for SWO's i figured that if its nice she wont see any of it then i'll get some stick off her.
But i will this evening & i shall report back to you all.

I did try my Aldi apple Tc with 200g of glucose. Im not a cider lover at all. WAs put off it when i was 13. Did 2 litres of woodpecker & half a bottle of Clan dew. Since then even the smell would make me nauseous. But i actually liked it. SWO's said it was a bit bitter but a few more practice runs at it & i might have cracked it.

Gonna start on the snake bites now as ive never had 1. See if ive been missing out all these years.

I tried the IBTC last night. EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW was too sweet. It hadnt finished fermenting by the looks of it. Will make it again but will take readings so i know its fermented properly. I wonder if there was still preservatives in it that stopped the yeast fermenting the sugar. If i drank it all i'd have no teeth left, it was that sweet.

My D & B stuff fermented down to 1.000 from 1.100 so i bottled that today. 13%.
