Heres my next one, having a go at a mild,I`m really enjoying this and so far every brew is excellent but there is something about being able to design your own that makes it more intriging and one of my main goals
20 liters
2268g pale UK malt
454g crystal 60
226g chocalate
28g fuggles 60min
182g light brown sugar
1pkt S-04
any tips,changes,recommendations are much appreciated
Cheers

Recipe sounds good, and probably very drinkable. I'm brewing a dark mild in a couple weeks. The original prototype went well, but I made a few changes. Here's what's in mine:

English 2 row
British Pale Chocolate Malt
British Chocolate Malt
Crystal Malt 120L
Roasted Barley
Carapils

Mash on the warm end (67-68C) to get a nice malty chewy wort, then that sugar will thin it out, so that you have bags of flavour, but a nice crisp finish without being thick and heavy.

Aleman hits the nail on the head 8)

keep your hopping around 19IBU. Also use a good sugar, as it will add a flavour note. A modern dark mild, is a great style to play around with, and if your interested the Classic beers styles book "Mild ale" by David Sutula, makes great reading and is very informative on the style(I preffer this to the pale ale book in the series)
