My first Wheat Beer

Post by booldawg » Fri Nov 14, 2008 6:44 pm

Not really sampled many wheat beers in my time. Think I had a bottle of Hooegarden last year and liked it. Taken in a bit of advice off the board and went with;

2820g Wheat Malt
1880g Lager Malt
73g Hallertau (60 min boil 13.0 IBU)
WB-06 Yeast

Did a 60 min mash at 66C.

I'll not be adding aroma hops as per advice on here 8)

Well its 5.45pm the boil is due to end at 6.10pm. Hoping for an early finish. Will clean the equipment tomorrow as its too dark now. Hope to see a few of you at Sutton tomorrow!
