I put the wherry in the keg last sunday,9th november,in the same place as the fermenting bin.I have just had a quick taste, needed to for ??????, cant think of owt really, and it tastes of nowt!!!.It had a nice head and was very very smooth but very very little taste?.Will this improve on leaving it to condition like a adult should leave it?

:-k It shouldn't really taste of nothing. In fact, in my own experience, it was really quite palatable. A lighter beer, true. But then, I've always been a bugger for the black stuffs.

Anyway, it should develop flavour, with time. Wouldn't say the term " Mouth Feel " ever came to me whilst drinking it though. " Gnats Piss " tripped easily off the tongue though! As in 'Weak as - due to having doggedly stuck at some outrageously high FG ~ as it does!

Of course; Having since tasted Coopers Stout? I'm completely ruined! Now even the Guinness I'm drinking as I type this just tastes and has the mouth feel of gnats piss! 2009 is to be the Year of the Coopers!

The beer has now been in the keg a week so it is time for it to go in the shed. Just had another quick taste, not much there to be honest, but it is VERY Cloudy.AT what part of the process will it clear ?.Thanks

Leave it at least two weeks Terrier then check it again.......i think mine used to take 2 to 4 weeks......also watch the temp. in your shed, if it gets too cold you may get a chill haze. Not a problem , it will clear as the beer warms up again but it might fool you into thinking it hasn't cleared.....The Wherry kits i did were a bit variable where taste was concerned but they did all clear o.k.

Cheers and good luck

Andrew
