I'll check it out Jim - We coach 7-8 year old up stairs in the same room, we can't keep them off the stage.

What about using antibacterial sprays ?

Jim have a look at the organ. The pipes are rigth across the full width of the stage atthe back.I also aslo spoke to one of the bowls players who practice down stairs, who said itwas a really big job.

Not sure if it still gets used, although I'm sure it must.

Back ti the sterilisation, today I bought 5 litres of bleach for 67p. Now I need to do my cals on how much should be used.

After the rubbish football result Sunderland V West Ham. I have a Yorkshire Bitter with local honey usedfor seocndary fermentation to try, and then offer feedback on.\

Cheers

Why do you guys not use Peracetic acid, or caustic?

Peracetic is a no-rinse.

Yeah, the job took several years to complete - not including the time the organ was in storage while we were looking for a suitable place to install it. When we started removing it from the Odeon I was free and single - by the time it was playing in it's new home I had a wife and 2 kids.
NURSE!! He's out of bed again!

Clean your stuff as best you can with hot water and kitchen towel/non-stick scourer. This is easy and the last time I add elbow grease to the cleaning process.

Then...
On plastics I use 125ml thin bleach (half a standard tea mug) in cold water in a 5G fermentor for 20mins, rinse 10 times (note the smell is gone) and rinse with 2 tsp of Sodium metabisulphate in 2L kettle just boiled water.
On stainless I use a light-medium solution of soda crystals (check side of packet) in warm water for 10mins, rinse well and; ten minutes soak in appropriately made up Iodophor solution (check side of bottle for no rinse concentration) with cold water.

Cleaning is boring, this works for me and seems dead easy. Also don't forget it's only post boil stuff that needs sanitizing. Before the boil it just needs to be clean like washed up crockery is.
