When I first got the mill I was concerned that it might crush to a flour, because it is a stone mill rather than a roller mill but after a bit of playing I have massive control, I can go from 80% flour to most of the husk in tact and mainly medium grits and about 15% flour, I had to open it to have a look inside (typical engineer) and it's two machines granite stones, one rotating and adjustable and the back one stationary, a beautiful piece of engineering, made by a scandahooligan company, (sweeden I think). It will cope with 25kg in about two mins, but I run it at a lesser rate for perfection. It was PTO driven and I converted it to 3-phase as I had a spare 4kw motor and no tractor. It needs a new shed because of it's proximity to the brewery and I have to clean the fv to the nth degree due to the dust, it gets three washes to ensure no stray yeasts from the barley.
I got a call from a friend who has a hand operated grain roller mill used for a farm and must have a look at it tomorrow, small money so a trial may be in order

Just had a sneaky pint for evaluation purposes you understand :D
Oh My God,
It's flipping beautiful, lovely notes from the late hops and I have the bitterness just the way I like it, I'm delighted.
This is going to be a regular, come crimbo it should develop a bit more.
Long Live Fuggelite, it's fuggin fantastic.
I know self praise is no praise, but feck it, I'm happy.
