I will be attempting at brewing this tongight.

it will be my second Ag and first "solo"

I'll be suing safeal 04 as yeast. All is prepared and ready to go so we'll just crack on later and see what happens!

I'll keep you posted,

Well it never went to plan ( do they ever)

I only managed to get 21 liters in the FV.

I only had Halycon pale ale malt available and after 21 liters there was no colour and the value was at 1008 so i stopped.

It tasted a little thin too so i added around 300 grams of light spray malt into the mix ( mixed in some of the wort).

I then added the 770 grames of sugar again mixed with the wort)

In the absence of challenger 8 the supplier let me down but i had managed to secure the kitchen for the evening so i was not letting that go. i used east kent goldings in their place. Same quantities same boli time.

So in the end 21 liters in the FV with Safeale 09

FG started at 1056 so FG will be about 1014-1015- 5.6-5.7 %

Seeing that i never managed to get the full amount i wondered if there was anyway i could tweak the recipe. I have a mate who wants to do 100liter brew of the same.
Skinfull.. can you help.
