I infused the grain with liquor 1:5, and so had only one post mash batch sparge to perform. I've been reading about improving efficiency by increasing the liquor to grain ratio where the MT allows, but I admit I was sceptical however seeing as I was happy with other areas of likely efficiency sacrifice I thought why not. I'm wondering now if that was why I had an INCREDIBLY slow run-off from the sparge........however........I was hoping to achieve pre-boil 26L of 1.035, but have achieved 26L of 1.045!!!!!!
