That's my problem too. I've got 5 out of 6 cornies full, plus 2 beers in FV and I'm thinking about buying some more cornies and trying to get hold of a bunch of bottles too.....maybe another FV or two as well.....ChrisG wrote: Problem I have now is that I'm addicted to making beer the drinking is just a bonus but I love mashing and the smells of grains and brewing is part of the fun. Now have 2 and a half full barrels if beer and probably 60 bottles to get through.
Wont need to make any more beer for a while.......which is a shame.
The thing is, it's just fun to do - kind of like a cross between cooking and chemistry...if you like either then you are guaranteed to have a good time.
Love the labels by the way!

Yeasty, if I may give you some advice here, it would be to change your boiler tap for a more suitable type, like this one, item no. 11 on this page.
There have been a few cases over the years of the back nuts coming loose on that type of tap resulting in boiling wort running out.

Thanks Horden, will do. I noticed that the nut was very fragile when i cleaned my element. I will add one to my next order.

I think that I must have got the bug bad !!! I was awake at 0500hrs this morning, so I started an AG. The good news is that I was finished and washed up by 1400hrs !!! Knackered now thoughdelboy wrote:its a good feeling isn't it

Good job that man!
I'm still working on today's brew......just about finished the boil now. (Big old Imperial IPA)
Mind you, I didn't decide to actually do it until after lunch and it's so bloody cold it took a while for the HLT to heat up.

Got to agree with all you fella,s on here. I,ve only done three AG brews but already I know this is going to be a life thing. I have been growing all my own veg for three years now, and still I get a buzz when its served at the dinner table knowing I,ve grown it from seed. AG brewing gives me exactly the same feeling, and I just know I,ll probably be brewing for a very very long time. God I feel all emotional now..
