Sunday Brewday - London Pride Clone

Her indoors was not pleased..you all know the story, Would you mind if...I mess the kitchen up again dear for half the day and night..

The mission (and I chose to accept it) would not be an easy one but I was determined as it would only be my 2nd AG adventure.

Having convinced her indoors to 'Study' upstairs the kitchen was now free for me to plunder...

And so the story continues....

Brewing : London Pride Clone

Hmmm, what to do, Ive always found 2 versions of the same recipe online. I adjust to my own liking. Also I usually
up the amount of Crystal Malt for a darker colour (is this ok?)

Why would one have such a low Hop weight?

I sort of worked out the EBU for Challenger at 40 and I would need around 64g!! not 10 (I will post recipe later)

Water

I bought 30 Liters 20 Tesco Spring at 0.93p and 10l of Tesco 'Value' at 14p per 2L !!! :D

I dont use cooling (I dont have immersion or CFC)
I use part frozen 5L water to add to the brew after boil (Anything wrong with this?) to make up 24 Litres in FV
As it just disappears into steam during boil + I only have a small boiler (Tea urn which takes around 12-15 litres)
I also use 2 other boil pans to assist.

I boiled some wort with Brewing sugar (v small amount) to get a darker colour into the beer as well

btw its fermenting Ferociously upststairs!!
