In fact it's a viral beer.

I bought jumbo rolled oats, 45 minutes gas mark 5, turning regularly.
Roasted the oats, stunk house out, wife gone berserk, she said. "f**king marvelous, you moan at me for doing a jacket spud in't oven and you roast porrige oats for 45 mins and stink house out" double standards she said [-X

Nah, Thehbforum, better not give the direct link as that wouldn't be proper here but I think he runs it with a couple of others. Don't think he's actually stopped posting or looking here, probably just busy with that one.

Barnsley, where did you get your brewstand, is it stainless and can it be put in various configurations?

just I'm wanting a brewstand but the person who was going to weld it is a bit slow and hard to pin down.

I got it from work, (borrowed) It's Bosch uni-strut, it bolts together like mechano. We decommissioned a few machines and this was the main framework they were built from, I built it at work in my spare time using workshop equipment to cut materials
It's all aluminium frame with aluminium sheet cut to size for the tops, I've used it about 5 times now and it's best thing I've ever done making one, for years I was using chairs and boxes!!

nice, it looks as if it does the business.

really need a brewstand, mine is balanced at the moment on a B&D Workmate, the middle sized table from a three nest (missus not impressed), and a tripod stand, not ideal.

Guess I'll just have to pester me mate.

Hmm yum. This is already on my list of brews to do - I managed to acquire a bittle of the "real" stuff while in a Smith's pub before Christmas, and had it on Christmas Eve. Very tasty indeed (though quite filling - not sure I could manage more than a couple in a session...).

you've cut the middle of the lid out of your boiler. i did that, just before i moved to using a 'nine' as my boiler. similar design on that really. works well. more efficient and reduced spillages. need to watch like a hawk at the start of the boil though
