Looks like you have put a lot more thought into it than i did :lol:

Im not sure that i have anything really to add at the moment but i'll certainly report back on what my version turns out like in case its of some use to you.

My own approach was to leave the beer quite simple ie only 2 speciality malt additions, 1 hop and a very neutral yeast (US-05), im hopping this relatively simple beer will let the character of the oak chips and bourbon come to the forefront and with all its attendant tastes rather than trying to create those flavours with speciality malts.

It'll definitely be interesting to hear how your brew came out.

I'm not starting this just yet - I have a few bits I need to get, including the US White Oak which seems very difficult to source for food purposes (ie doesn't have wood preservatives in!). So I may be forced to source them from the US. I'll be looking at 3x1lb packs of oak cubes from morebeer.
