Am i Safe to bottle with areading of 1.014?
Am i Safe to bottle with areading of 1.014? It was in pimary for 8 days, and secondary for 8 days, but the hydometer kit says it is not safe to bottle if over 1.006?? help! please
Re: Am i Safe to bottle with areading of 1.014?
what are you brewing? My last 2 woodfordes brews were 1014 and 1012 fg, all malt kits apparently don't go as far down as they are supposed to. If you are doing an all malt kit and the sg has been steady fit a few days then I would say it's time to keg or bottle. I left both my woodfordes kits 10 to 13 days. Have a look at the fermentation stuck thread at the top of this forum. Having said all that I'm still new to all this so read through the forums.

I've bottled beers that stopped at 1.015 in the past, it'll be fine.
Re: Am i Safe to bottle with areading of 1.014?
it is a woodfordes norfolk with 1 kg brewing sugar and been in fermentation for 16 days in total
Re: Am i Safe to bottle with areading of 1.014?
Yep you can bottle it. Dont forget the priming sugger about half a T spoon per bottle leave in a warm place for 5 days then bung some where cool for 4 weeks to condition.
Re: Am i Safe to bottle with areading of 1.014?
Is that not a 3kg all malt kit? If if is it will be a bit on the sweet side. I would probably keg/bottle and see how it turns out.

Thanks guys, shes in the bottles, now the pain of waiting! but smells divine!
Re: Am i Safe to bottle with areading of 1.014?
As operator said, that is a two-can kit isn't it? If it is you did very well to get it down to 1014 if you also added 1kg of sugar!
