AG#019 Bitter

Post by haz66 » Tue Jan 20, 2009 8:40 am

After a very early start the mash is already about 20mins in,
I`m just brewing a basic bitter for my mates birthday, it could be similar to an
existing recipe i`m not sure, i just wanted to use some of the Northdown i got off mctoon.
So heres what i`m brewing.

3700g of Maris Otter Pale Malt
200g of Crystal
20g Nothdown @ 60mins
20g Northdown @ 20mins
20g Northdown @ 0mins
Protafloc in @ 20mins

Should hit around SG1041
IBU`s 27

Ok better go get the daughter up for school.

Cheers adm
It all went very smoothly, its now in the FV.
My mate rang me during my brewing to inform me his wife had given birth,
so instead of his birthday beer, its now baby head wetting beer, i`ll
have to get another one on for his birthday.
