What does it bring to the flavour

Hello all anybody used Melanoidin Malt before i have never used it.I see that hope & grape do it but it's pretty pricey stuff.What does it bring to your beer maltiness (?) .Is it worth getting a sack the next time i go to my maltsters.Cheers

Melanoidin malt has been described by some homebrewers as a "decoction in a bag". As a decoction fan I don't think it can really replace the procedure but it is a very nice addition that will yield subtle enhancements in depth of color, malt flavor support and aroma.
