Next one up - Dogbolter

This one I fancied because it brought back some great memories of drinking this cracking pint in the early 90s. =P~

Has anyone else made this one up and do you recommend Spraymalt or Sugar, the instructions suggest sugar. Has anyone experience of using either ?

I had terrible problems with sticking using spraymalt on my first Dogbolter; had to use dried beer enzyme in the end.

Chrisx1 (in his DaaB guise at the time) suggested it may well have been that the kit was desined for sugar and that I shouldn't have mucked about.

Second batch went through on Tate & Lyle with no sticking (and is drinking lovely!).. Just watch the priming sugar, this one can be lively!

I think I will start off going the sugar route as per instructions. I haven't used sugar in any of mine yet, following the kind advice on this site, as it can give a cidery taste. To be honest I would rather pay a bit more and have a pint I can really enjoy than just making home brew because it is a cheap option. This way perhaps I can do a comparison myself and if you liked it with sugar who am I to argue
