update : it tried to make a break for it crawling out the bubble managed to get it back in the fv but had to use a whip and chair !
this is starting to look a dangerous beast.

Well lads, Thats my 1st Coopers Stout in the keg :D its been reading 1010 on the hydrometer for the last 3 days so I decided it was time to keg (the beast). As I started to syphon it from the FV to the keg I noticed a few bubbles still rising to the top and thought maybe I am kegging too soon #-o but by this time there was at least 1 gallon in the keg so I thought its too late now [-o< I could not resist having a wee taste as I was syphoning it into the keg  I know ! warm flat beer straight from the FV  but I have read so much about Coopers Stout Kits I could not resist. And I must admit I was plesantly suprised at the result (so far) there was no usual homebrew twang  and I swear i could taste a hint of chocolate :?: So my 1st Coopers Stout is now residing in my pressure barrel with a heating belt keeping it cosy for the 2ndry fermentation period ! Then its another week or four for the conditioning (who am I kidding) :^o and then the tasting, it will be getting sampled after just one week ! Really looking forward to this one ! Going to start my 2nd Coopers Stout off this week ! because I know once I crack this 1st keg its likely to be gone in no time

Cheers DC

Well i decided to jump on the band wagon as it were :-D
Kegged my Coopers Stout on Sunday night. Am planning on this being my April batch, so plenty of time to condition.
Might take the odd pint every other week though to see how she is doing :-)

If she is as good as I have heard, I too might have to start a production line going in my garage/beer room!!

Reading all these rave reviews has convinced me what my next brew is gonna be.Coopers website recommends adding 1kg med spraymalt and 300g of glucose.Any of you guys tried it like this ?.Cheers all and too much beer is just enough.

just had a qc test as promised. [didnt want to of course]

first, watching it pour, im surprised how quickly its cleared.
second, nice head, not too much [primed with 80g glucose]
third, smell...mmm like home made toffee. burnt treacle pudding, maybe slight vanilla pods? no, innis and gunns, the dark one
fourth,taste.....innis and gunns, the dark one. no question!
fifth, how do i stop this from conditioning any more? i bloody love innis and gunns. [especially the dark one].

see, now im going to have to open another one just to be sure.

ditch? ya bugger. \:D/
