i have been brewing beer for 20 odd years and after reading this forum have done a few turbo ciders.
i have not tasted any yet as i want to leave them in the bottle for 4-6 weeks as i have been advised.
just before i did my first turbo cider i decided to pitch 1 litre of lidl red grape juice and 1 litre of lidl apple juice on to my yeast slurry from a batch of bitter.(just to see wot happened!).
i have just opened the first bottle and am not sure wot i am drinking!!!
it smells a bit yeasty,(and a bit beery) and has the colour of a rose but tastes absolutley fab!
its like a cross between a dry rose and a dry cider.
if it was not for the smell i rekon i could sell this - lol!
all bodes well for the turbo ciders i think - can't wait to try them!
experiment!
