I've managed to kill a keg of this in no time, so its time to replenish the stocks.
Tonight i'll be knocking out the below recipe (with the exception of the wheat malt, ran out).

Marris Otter: 4500g
Crystal Malt: 450g
Chocolate Malt: 80g
Black Malt: 25g
Wheat Malt: 150g

Hop Schedule

60mins: Challenger (7.1%): 25g
15mins: Challenger (7.1%): 15g
15mins: Cascade (5.4%): 15g
8mins: Cascade (5.4%): 10g
1mins: Cascade (5.4%): 30g

fermenting with S04.

looks like a good evening brew sesh Del, just the ticket and it's a belter brew.

hmmm, I have all those ingredients and need a recipe for tomorrow, it's a good excuse to use all those half opened packets of hops as well.

Have a good 'un

It is but, but i get relatively crap efficency compared to some, its supposed to give you something around the 1048-1050 mark so if your efficency is better you can always use slightly less of everything.

Good luck with the brew Del & Garth, it seems to be a popular recipe. Maybe one for a future HH brewday. :-k

mine's 15 mins into the boil, got good efficiency for once, had loads extra wort, but there is quite a bit leaf hop in this and I also lose a bit to deadspace so it's probably for the best.

did you settle on a SNPA recipe that you thought worked well Del?

I have come to the conclusion that it was the Magnum giving the harsh taste, I've since used Perle in three brews and no harshness in sight.
