I suppose I had to fork out about €800 in parts, the time would be the killer, I have a metalworks and so have acess to lathe, tig welder etc, the fermenter cost me €200 and the MT €40 but had a split 60% the way round, the kegs were similarly small money from a stainless scrap dealer. It too me three months to plan and build.

A few of us get together and buy malt direct from the maltsters, about 250Kg at a time, they are happy to sell in that quantity. Pop in to your local micro and ask nicely, they will point you in the right direction and may even let you put in a side order on top of theirs.
I just wanted to get the ball rolling on videos, it does not matter what your system is, we all do things a bit differently and people may pick up tips from yours. There are lots of subjects that a video might help newcommers, water treatment, kit, extract brewing, botteling, kegging, dispense. Just think back to when you first started, a video of what you do now would be worth a lot to others, I would have loved to see the various processes on short videos, and we would all love to see them too, so come on, get out the cameras.

Good idea Bru, I enjoyed watching that. Just one suggestion... I think you need a bigger spoon/paddle for stiring your mash - the one you are using is dwarfed by the size of your mash tun! :)

I suppose "stuck together" was the wrong thing to say, its just 2 25ltr Fvs, 1 inside the the other, with loads of tiny holes ( no fancy copper thingies in cool boxers here!!!) ,
I do have 2 10 gallon burco s though :D
