I think I've got kettle envy :) :)

The recipe looks pretty close to what was used for this year's Big Brew, which is a national brewing day on this side of the pond, promoted by the American Homebrew Association. They claim they got full input from John Keeling at Fullers:

It sounds really nice but Target, Northdown and Challenger are impossible to find right now.

Still fairly widely available over here. Prices are twice what they were (£6/$12 for 100g) but in general hop availablility is pretty reasonable with only a few varieties being hard to get.

Fantastic setup!! But I have a better grain mill

Ditto on the hop availability here, and our prices have quadrupled

Terrific. I just gaze in wonderment at set-ups like that.

Fancy asking a question like that 9 months later Si.
Hazy memory and remembered feedback from the boys at the Wenlock gathering
It turned out very drinkable but not really close to the original, phew!
Not sure i would do it again, i prefer a bit more body in my ale.
Check out the beers we have for sale @ Mix Brewery

Thanks M,

I have a vial of WLP002 I want to use in subsequent brews - an Ordinary Bitter then a Best. Planning on LP for the 2nd and was thinking Chiswick first up. I like Chiswick and if your recipe was a cracker was gonna give it a whirl. I like body in a bitter too, and so might not do this. I have plans to combine British Caramalt with MO for a very pale 1.038 with Challenger and Goldings once I've cursed this weeks Nemesis (Hop Back Yeast) into a corni  The battle's not lost yet, but I'm faltering (so's the fermentation  ). viewtopic.php?f=24&t=21302&p=241220#p241220
