Spraymalt?
Spraymalt?
Got my Coopers Kit today and reading the instructions, slightly more cryptic than my normally idiot proof Edme kit instructions!
Someone has recommended using spraymalt, any advice as to what is the best type and ratio to use with a Coopers Kit, as there appears to be different views about how much to use etc.
Cheers

Re: Spraymalt?
I have heard the Cooper's has a lively fermentation, have been using a 25 litre bin for past brews, will this hold it as I have it in the living room and dont fancy giving the carpet a beer shampoo!

I did mine in a 30 litre fv and only just kept it in. Might be an idea to make it up to 20 litres and top up once the initial eruption is over.

Re: Spraymalt?
Birdy? Try running a Search on " Coopers Stout ". Sub Search; " Ditch's Stout ", just to mop up. (Oh dear. Was that a bit near the mark? " Coopers Stout / Mop Up "
)

I always used to make my kits up to 20litres anyway, always found 23 litres a bit wishy washy.

Is there a difference between spraymalt and drymalt? or is this the same thing??
Re: Spraymalt?
Feelin a bit nervous now, just my got my 33 litre bin, bench bottle capper, 500g of medium spray malt all ready for my first attempt at the infamous Coopers Stout.
I am after a bit of advice, the bin has got a grommet hole in, should I put an airlock in or will it blow like Old Faithful?!

Re: Spraymalt?
Even my 33litre bin had its lid pushed up slightly, so perhaps fit a blow-off tube
