Drip Help
Drip Help
I have a 'Value Keg with s30' the tap is driping slightly (1 drop every 30 secs or so) over last night i must of lost about 1/8 of a pint not much i know but over a few days this will mount up! is this normal? is there a simple and quick cure? I've turned the tap into a position where it drops the least!
Re: Drip Help
I had the same problem but found the drip stopped when my tap was at the 'quarter past' type position.
(on my keg the tap is full off at about '10 past' and full on at '10 to' in reality, it worlks perfectly at 'quarter to/past' respectivley. If you see what I mean.
I hope this helps.

Re: Drip Help
Hi dandan
To be honest if ther beer is already in the keg I doubt there is much you can really do other than twist it as suggested. When the keg is empty it would probablty make sense to pick up a new tap to put on - only a couple of quid.

Re: Drip Help
I had the same problem but as Ady1975 said don't turn the tap fully off leave it at the quaterpast position. Worked for me anyhow and I was loosing about the same as you.
Re: Drip Help
Worse case scenario is to buy a new tap, turn your barrell slowly on it's side, remove tap (you will lose all pressure) replace with new, then repressurise barrell. I've done this recently, and beer was fine for the rest of the barrell. On mine it was the seal itself, so had no choice, all worked out fine in the end.
Re: Drip Help
Thanks for the tips, it was dim wit me! set it to quaterpast this afternoon still dripped a bit (guess there was some beer in the tap still), but now its not dripping
