Completed First Homebrew

Post by gaztop » Fri May 01, 2009 9:08 pm

I have just bottled my first homebrew. 24 bottles of nelson's revenge, now stored in the cupboard, waiting for 01 June to be drunk.
This forum and Jim's advice has been brilliant, so Thank you everyone who answered all my noob questions so quickly!

I used litre PET bottles. I filled them half way up the neck as I wasn't sure how far to fill them, (probably not right to the top!?!) Does this sound about right?

I have already got my next kit as I am well and truly hooked now! Brewers choice best bitter pencilled in for a brew day next Friday, (can't wait)

Night all!

nice one and well done.

Filling the PET bottles up to about shoulder height is ok - it's good to fill nicely full to expunge O2.

Congrats on bottling your first brew, GT; I hope it's the first of many.
