Second brew day (ever) completed

Post by gaztop » Fri May 08, 2009 12:35 pm

All,

I have just finished my second ever brewday.
I now have a Brewers' Choice Best Bitter fermenting away in the FV! =D>

What a quality kit. I gathered alot of advice from this forum and it went like a dream. OG was 1.049.
I went with option 2 and added 1kg spraymalt. I heated it in a pan and voila, no clumping!

I checked the first ever brew I did a couple of weeks ago (Woodforde's Nelson's Revenge) which is conditioning in bottles in the garage. Again, looking good! :D Nice bit of sediment in the bottom of the bottles and giving them a squeeze, they were definetly under pressure. Should be drinkable 01st June!

Thanks again everyone especially Chris-x1 ( =D> ) who's advice was invaluable!

Cheers
