I'm hoping to transfer my first brew (Woodfordes' Wherry) into my PB at the weekend.
I've read on here that some people use a spraymalt and brewing sugar combination when transferring - is this the recommended approach for the Woodfordes' kits? If so, what quantities of each should I be using for a 40 pint brew?
I've also read about adding the spraymalt/sugar to boiling water first and then zapping in the microwave. Again, would I be best to use this method? Do I need to steralise the spoon that's being used to measure out the sugar and the bowl it's going into or does the heat mean any nasties are killed off anyway?
