fermentation vessells

Post by easty » Fri May 22, 2009 8:59 pm

hi guys
does anyone know what food grade plastic is. i am a builder and have seen that travis perkins sell 30l white plastic buckets for mixing plaster in, they look the same as a fermentation bucket but without a lid & less than half the price, would a sterilized one be suitable for brewing in, with cling film over top or damp towel

I wouldn't dismiss them if you need a cheap bucket.
If the Buckets are unused and carry the Food Grade 'Knife & Fork' logo they would be cool...

I think Travis & Perkins counter staff would actually say "No idea, mate but plasterers seem to like them". :D

You know what they say about about plasterers?
