got no airlock

Im brewing a youngs brew buddy cider kit. kept constantly at 24 degrees c. (using a beer bath and 50w aquarium heater) its been brewing for 40hrs. Do I need to lift the lid now and again to release pressure as it looks like it wants to blow the air tight lid off the fv. No airlock came with the kit.

just loosen it slightly at one side so there isn't a visable gap but enought to let gas escape and you should be absolutely fine!

Thank you as I was starting to panic. There isnt much froth in the bucket. It looks more like a soup that is simmering. Is this normal after 40hrs. :?

Thanks for the advice :)

hi
no expert, but i like to seal the lid all the way round. then every day while its fermenting open a bit of the lid to let out gas & push the middle of the lid down when you seal it so it dips in. then when the lid stops bulging you know it has stopped fernenting then leave it 2 days longer & check with hydro
