Can anyone tell me what differences to beer do torrified wheat, flaked wheat, wheat malt, and crystal malt make?

Hi Andy

Torrified Wheat aids head retention, I generally use betyween 100g and 300g in 25 litres of beer. I imagine flaked wheat to do the same however I've never used it myself. If you use too much wheat you may get problems with haze in your beer.

Crystal malt will add colour and sweetness to a brew, I like my ales copper coloured so tend to use between 200g and 350g per 25 litres of beer generally in conjunction with some torrified wheat. If you use too much of it some folks say the beer becomes too sweet and cloying however I've nexer experienced it as I've generally kept its use to a minimum.
