Had a real Woodfordes Wherry last week

While having a long weekend in Whitby I found The Black Horse had Wherry on... I thought I better try it out just to see how it compared to the Kit.

And.... I'd say it compares to the kit in 1 way, Its beer!
At this point the similarities stop and you realise that the Kit Wherry is as Rough as a badgers arse  And the Cask ale is smooth and quite delicate.

The Black Horse is a Little Gem of a Pub, usually 3 or 4 hand pulled on...
Last week it was; Woodfordes Wherry, Adnams Best, Blackdog Rhatas, and TT Landlord (non-food Pub)

The Shambles has all the Usual Theakstons beers on, and Copper Dragon's Challenger IPA (Which I did sample quite a few of!!) and Golden Pippin (The Food was looking good in here but we didn't try it)

The Duke of York (very food pub, easy going pub grub), had Courage Directors, Shepheard Neame Spitfire, Deuchers IPA, all of which went down well.

i've always found that the difference between the kit and the hand pull is the hoppyness of it. whenever i have done the kit it has the same body but lacks that citrus' hoppy aftertaste. apart from that i can see very little difference.
