Cooper Stout (with pic)
Hello. I just did my first Coopers stout, after reading on here how good it is. My opinion ? It's LOVELY, and has gone to the top of my list of kits, will be doing this one all the time. Had a nightmare when topping up the f.v after a few days, the kettle lid fell in, had to put my arm to the bottom to get it out! Nothing got infected though, made sure my arm was clean! Brewed with beer enhancer. Here's a pic

Ditch will be proud of you. I also think it's ome of the best kits out there if not the best. TT.

Looks nice
I just bottled/kegged a batch yesterday (made with 1kg Medium Spray Malt). Was surprised how nice it actually tasted straight from the fermenter.
Cant wait to try a bottle!

That looks a real belter of a pint deffinitely going on the list after I've got my Dark Ale sorted and Wherry done.
Re: Cooper Stout (with pic)
I barrelled it (budget barrel), 90 grams of brewing sugar. I always have difficulty pouring from it though, so much foam for the first 10 pints or so.

Tis a lively sort of foamer though, isn't it? During both fermentation And pouring from a keg. I find that.
Try spending some time in Eire, mate. See how an Irish Landlord knows how to make a thirsty man suffer. First, they wander off and leave an 80% poured pint of Guinness to sit there. Then they give it to ye and it is Guinness! So it's just not a touch on what ye know ye have at home and a hell of a price! Double whammy in the torture stakes!
But it does teach ye to wait for a pint

A good pub with a good business will pour a couple ready for the next order - and if you're friendly with the barmaid, she'll make sure an extra one is poured for you when the landlord ain't lookingDitch wrote:What in gods name kept ye so long, Mick?! Can't you take a hint?

Most unlikely to happen to me. My local's run by a husband and wife. They're not in the business of giving their living away.
Regards setting one up? Here it's considered the customers job to request the next, before the first is gone. And, as I 99% of the time only have the one pint .....
