Recommend a Cider Kit - What's Your Favourite?

Hi gang,

I've just completed my first ever Cider Brew - a Youngs Cider kit and it went pretty well, I'm very pleased with the results.

I'm gonna look to start the next brew off soon and I was wondering what the best Cider Kits are out there?

Please let me know your experiences on different kits? I really like dry sparkling ciders.

Cider Rich :)

I'd agree - never bothered with a cider kit

20litres value apple concentrate from Saisburys - about 55p a litre - so £11

750 demerara sugar, or cane sugar, or honey etc

If you like, add 50g dried elderflowers, steeped in a litre or two of the apple juice at about 70 degrees for 20 minutes - adds a beautiful flavour and aroma.

5 or 6 teabags in boiled water mashed to buggery - add to the FV

One sachet of youngs cider yeast, or champagne yeast.

Ferment for a week or so - bottle and prime like beer.

Makes superb drink - cheapest brew I can make too.
