Made a big mistake :-(

After my other half nagged me to get both of my next brews going on the same night...I finally gave in and got set up. Was planning a Whispering Wheat with 1kg BKE and a ridiculously expensive Welhenstephen Wheat yeast, as well as a Brewmaster IPA with 500g LSM, 500g MSM and 250g brewers' sugar with S04 yeast.

Should've argued with him for longer...or at least done the brew night when I wasn't recovering from illness!

To cut a long story short, I've stuck the wheat beer kit in the wrong FV...AFTER I'd put the 20-minute-steeped Fuggles in there. Can't believe I did that. I'm steeping more Fuggles for the IPA to go ahead as planned, but does anyone have ANY idea how this will turn out??

I've Googled "hopped wheat beer" and it seems that some have won awards, so I'm guessing it MIGHT come out OK, but I'm gutted that it's not going to be what I expected. I'm normally a pretty precise person too, so I'm annoyed with myself.

Any comments, suggestions or reassurance?

At the end of the day how does anyone come up with anything new if they dont experiment??

Some of my best meals have come from just chuckin things in the pan and having my fingers crossed!!

Or do what I did Thursday night, making an Extract brew, I steeped the grains, boiled the hops 90,15 and flame out, added the chiller at 15, all went swimmingly.
Turned on the tap to the chiller and babysat it for a few mins to check all ok, which it was, went up for a shower and came back to find the exit pipe from the chiller had found its way out of the sink (it was under a heavy saucepan - yes I know) and the floor was swimming in a good few inches of water.

I blame the dog - why not?

Yet to find out if the kitchen cupboards chipboard will 'blow' or not, but got on the case quick smart and mopped and dried and cursed and had a dehumidifier in there for 24 hours.

So, hops in a wheat beer are way down my list
