CO2 Canisters

Post by Donnydarko » Tue Jun 30, 2009 10:33 pm

Hi All, Just got my 1st corny and a beer tap and i'm thinking of ways to pressure the keg. Read the fantastic thread on the equipment section but was wondering about using CO2 canister and regulator from my welder! sounds mad but i can connect it to my keg and you can get 600gm bottles. My querie...... is there a difference between the CO2 used in welding canisters and that used in the pub? not sure if there is a industrial/food grade in co2.

there is no difference so fill your boots, your regulator will probably be flow rate rather then pressure so may need another. But I am no expert on regulators, I am sure others can clarify that one.
