what to do with an old kit

Hi there,
I have a old brewbuddy bitter kit in my cupboard call out to me to make and i was wondering if there is anyway of adapting it coz i can imagine it being a bit poo and i would like it to taste more like a brown ale then bitter if possible.

Ye have two, empty Corni's and a stack of unused bottles? Brew It! :roll:

i know i should brew it but what i would like to know is there any additions that i can add to make it a bit more special i have a few different hops like goldings and styrians golding which one of them do you think would make a good addition to it?
