They failed to deliver any of my order in January (it was my starter kit so I was rather annoyed) and they finally agreed to give me a refund. It then took THREE MONTHS fighting to actually get the money refunded.

Stay away.

Oh dear I think I have a problem, just looking through their site a bit more in depth and it appears 80% of stock is out or due in 7 days. Must have money problems???? :?

I thought they had money problems but they have kept going since January so I don't know. I think they order most stuff in when a customer orders it, so if you make an order and one item is going to take ten weeks then the whole order is delayed for that time.

Please don't take these posts down. They may threaten legal action but it wouldn't go anywhere - there are thousands of web sites that review companies. People need to be aware of bad traders.

No criticism required - just make sure you use one of the many WONDERFUL online Homebrew shops recommended by the good people of Jim's Forum.

It is not hard to find a good one!!

this was not supposed to be a critism it was simply a question, by the response it looks like many people have had problems with this firm surely you have a right to make other possible victims aware of it?
I have used two other mail order companies before who have both been excellent why should they suffer. If I was new to the hobby I probably would've jacked it in over this. Thank go we have good on line stores like BREW UK.

I have to say I've been unimpressed with them as well - I like the site and the reviews are useful, but won't be in a hurry to order from there again. I got messed around for several weeks with conflicting info on when summat was going to be back in stock, when when it was actually in stock items which had since gone out of stock couldn't be supplied. and so on.

they did refund the order fairly promptly though. #-o

Will get my next mail order lot from Leyland (a bit far to be my LHBS, sadly. Nice shop) or Brewmart instead.

I only ever placed two orders with them (I only just read this post but can guess the company) and it happened to be my first ever orders online, a time when you need confidence in a new hobby.
They were very slow, and one order arrived missing three items which was a battle to get resent.

Avoid them like the plague, and dont be 'esuaded' otherwise

intresting to see they have now completly changed there company ltd name, and all the names of there other business
( sure sign of problems )

A lack of Youngs wine and beer kits, smells that they have not paid bills to youngs and youngs have stopped suppling them

wonder if the other wholesallers know....

I like there site i must admit.. but goods service has been poor
