1st Brew

Post by gazpacho » Thu Sep 03, 2009 5:45 pm

My first brew is started, the better half is happy (well I promised her a wine kit), and we have nothing but help from the cats!! I beleive its Milestone Lions Pride, there were no labels but after a quick email, Simon at Muntons let me know what it was.
I have to thank Henry at Eastgate Home Brew shop in Stafford, full of advise and is almost apologetic when he sells you something. Seem to get 10% discount off list prices everytime I go in for anything(prices are rounded down to a nice figure)

thought it had stalled, been around the 1020 mark for a couple of days but after reading all the Muntons topics etc I just followed the advice, gave it a gentle agitation, switched on my brewbelt and there is now a fresh layer of tiny bubbles and its 1016....touchwood

Sounds like all is going well. Knowing how to overcome problems is half the battle!
